Is Substack Rolling Out Twitter-Like Features? Akp51v Explains
Substack now plans to offer Twitter-like features called Notes. Like how you retweet a micro-post or tweet on Twitter, you can "restack" notes once the Substack website and smartphone apps enable this feature.
How did I learn about this update that might change how readers, writers, bloggers, marketers, and book authors experience using Substack? I received the related mail, written by CEO Chris Best, CTO Jairaj Sethi, and CWO Hamish McKenzie, on 5 April 2023 at 08:43 pm IST (Indian Standard Time).

What is Substack?
Substack is a newsletter management platform that has helped many bloggers and writers, including mainstream book authors worldwide, build revenue streams powered by their readers' subscription payments.
Remember how Patreon, Ko-Fi, and Liberapay have empowered content creators? They ask their fans, YouTube channel subscribers, or social media followers to offer a monetary reward on a recurring or one-time basis.
Now, think of Substack as a Patreon-like platform for writers. It has a smartphone app, Substack Reader, that you can use to enjoy free and paid newsletters written by your favorite writers.
How to Create the Substack Password to Log into the "Substack Reader" App on a Smartphone
- Sign out of Substack and revisit the "sign up or log in" page.
- Click on the "Sign in with password" option.
- Use the "Set new password" option.
- Check your email inbox for a time-limited link that will open a new window in the browser.
- Set a new password and let the browser save it in the autofill databases for future reference.
- Now, install the Substack Reader app on your smartphone.
- Click the "Sign in/Log in with password" option.
- Enter the password. You will be logged in.
- Optional: Connect your Twitter account to see which users, who follow you on Twitter, also use Substack.
- Optional: Select any additional newsletters other than the default one if you want to start reading content written by various authors, bloggers, and content writers on Substack.
