Date 25-01-2023 Cumulative Changelog

Akp51v has removed Google Translate, blog archive, and labels widgets to minimize DOM size issues. Additionally, Blogger profile widgets, social share button, and popular posts widgets are also removed to increase performance. In-article ad units are rationalized, and suitable adjustments will be made acrosss all posts to reduce interruptions, conflicting color schemes, and non-native font loading. Post background color (#383839) is scheduled to be replaced with (#28282B) or similarly darker tones to minimize eye strain at higher screen brightness levels. The header image (61.3 KiB) has been removed with simple heading text. Description now clarfifies that this blog use design ideas primarily for night reading and low screen brightness. The menu tabs that introduced layout shifts are consoolidated under a single details tag for better layout stability. Unfilled ad-units wil now collapse based on Google's recommended CSS technique to eliminate blank space of inactive ad-units. Attribution and copyright licensing imprints across all the Akp51v sites will be modified for 2023. The "anchor text not descriptive" problem is also resolved in some posts. Two more sitemap options are addedd to Google Search Console using feeds. The subscription links are consolidated in the new tab within Menu. Sharing links (manual HTML calls) for LinkedIn articles considering the smartphone apps are introduced in the Self-confidence article. The issue of sudden decrease in the previously indeced pages is being actively monitored. Minor edits and broken or expired link removal were done to prevent browsing disruptions. The new sitemap page has replaced the Navigation page. Appropriate redirection and advertisement execeptions are aconifigured for the same.

Date 01-01-2023 Composite Changelog

I have made the hamburger menu visible across all posts and pages by commenting out b:if statements corresponding to "inSingleItem" by studying some blocks used by Blogger.com (Blogspot) themes. Also, the third column has been disabled, while more containers have rounded corners thanks to the border-radius CSS property.

Navigational elements are redesigned using  float CSS for an unordered list. Note that the collapsible details tags are assigned to each list item. Some definitions now have dfn and abbr tags. Other changes involve editorial polishing and adding article images; Happy New Year, 2023.

Note: Resume and Letting Go posts now have a permanent redirect to their newer versions. Besides, other Blogspot sites with custom domains must be parsed through customer CDNs. Creating a more categorical topic group page can enhance the navigational experience.

New fresh user interface with a cleaner theme. Also, a blog subscription service was added.

Date 29-06-2022 Notice No. 2022/06/29-1

I have been making tiny changes to SummaryMaster51v D.E. to improve its average page load speed. Recently, fresh blogs are posted on the site. Some old blogs are edited for better coherence.

It was noted that some internal links had the rel nofollow tags. These tags are removed due to unsuitable usage.

Blog titles will be crispier and shorter from this point onwards. No blog title shall exceed 60 characters. Respective updates will be made to the existing lengthy title this weekend.

For now, I am focusing on my 50 posts milestone for this Blogspot. Let us see if I achieve it.

Date 09-11-2021 Notice No. 2021/11/09-1

  1. Now, I have used the Philosopher Font (Body Text) with Old Standard TT titles.
  2. The author profile box is present just above the comment section. Also, I have used the rounded elevated design background for the Author's Description.
  3. The social share buttons now appear the same on desktops and phones. Yes, I have used my branded colour pallette (slightly tinted) for the button looks.
  4. Now, you can find my Patreon Account below the Menu button. I will include more interesting options for being a patron by May 2022.
  5. Also, you can quickly review my monthly summary for the content by Akp51v by visiting my Twitter (akp51v) and subscribing to my Revue Newsletter. It is free.
  6. I will be working on akp51v.org for the time being. Rest assured because I am trying to focus on a 500-word posting schedule. So, my future posts might be crispier but precisely on the topic.

Date 27-10-2021 Notice No. 2021/10/27-1

Now, I have paired Oldtime Standard TT font titles with Molengo for the main body. Also, you should increase the font size to avoid the blurry edges in the Bold font formatting. Let's have some fun with fonts, shall we?

Date 18-10-2021 Notice No. 2021/10/18-1

Now, the "Menu ≡" has a complete sitemap of SummaryMaster51v Dark Edition. So, you can explore this website without having to browse the "Navigation" page. Also, I have changed every font to Open Sans. The sad results include an additional page load lag.

But this font has more space w.r.t. Roboto, PT Sans Narrow, Cuprum, Trebuchet, Calibri or Arial. Also, it does not waste too much space like Montserrat. Besides, you don't have to see the scale differences of Josefine Sans with that weird "e" letter.

On the related, Ubuntu font seems to have a thicker font weight. But it feels fresh indeed. Maybe, you could use it for a Light-Themed site. Both the Josefine Slab and Montserrat seem too thin. So, I am not sure about using thin fonts for the main body.

Because the thin fonts feel great only if you are designing a poster or large heading. Again, all of this is my personal configuration. Thus, do what makes you proud of your site.

Date 17-10-2021 Notice No. 2021/10/17-1

Based on the feedback, I have returned to the Open Sans font. Yes, it is a web font. So, the related decrease in the loading speed is inevitable. But now, the text is legible even in a smaller font. As such, you do not need to scroll a lot.

And the floating Menu has a more permanent position. So, it will not interfere with your reading experience. Also, I will address the padding aspects of the Menu items soon.

Date 13-10-2021 Notice No. 2021/10/13-1

I have increased the font size of the main body. So, the problem of the serifs becoming bubble-like should decrease. Also, some of the tiny font areas used the Georgia font like the rest of the page. Now, I have used Verdana for improving legibility for Picture Captions and Labels ( or Topics ).

From this point onwards, all the Labels, Categories or Tags will be called Topics. Personally, I find that the word 'Topic' makes more sense.

So, I have reinstalled the social share features. And to avoid CLS or Cumulative Layout Shift, I have defined their heights. Finally, each page begins with the Topics cloud. As a result, you don't have to scroll to the bottom region to find similar articles.

Note that I am already aware of the inter-linking opportunities. For the time being, I am working on 2 new blog posts. Let's see when those get published.

Date 11-10-2021 Notice No. 2021/10/11-1

A cleaner user interface is now available. Some over-information in the header regions is removed. I am happy with this discovery. Also, the Menu button is moved to the lower region. Because you know that we live in this era of the taller displays.

Moral of the story: If you disable the mid-column, you get the pure two-column layout. Now, everyone can read more content without having to scroll immediately.

Date 09-10-2021 Notice No. 2021/10/09

From the looks of it, it seems that using the bold italic Merriweather font increases Bounce Rate if used for the main text. So, I returned to the Times New Roman italic. But it tends to be too thin and too oblique at times. Thus, I have been using Georgia italic font.

But again, it seems that using a Serif font might increase the Bounce Rate. As much as I want to use it, it seems that simpler Sans Serif fonts might be the ideal solution to this problem.

Still, as a last attempt for integrating the Serif fonts with my main post body, let me use the normal Georgia font. That is, without Italics.

Date 29-09-2021 Notice No. 2021/09/29-1

From now onwards, SummaryMaster51v Dark Edition will use the Serif Font Families in the main content. After a lot of reading, thinking and introspection, Akp51v has decided that the site fonts must have a personality.

In the future, this design decision may or may not change. Because as of now, providing a unique User Experience is my priority. Hopefully, I will see an increase in the Returning Visitors metric of site performance.

Yes, the Simple Design is most profound. But I believe that the content philosophy on this blog allows me a bit more freedom regarding the bold ( or less popular ) design decisions.

The technical drawback of this approach is the increase in the Custom Web Fonts on this blog. As such, some pages might load a bit slower. Again, this type of balancing-imbalancing act is also a part of running a High Definition Photography website.

So, I will be using Rich and Detailed Designs more often from now on. Hence, the clean or minimal designs will appear less frequently.

Date 24-09-2021 Notice No. 2021/09/24-1

Reduced or removed the Custom Web Fonts and the non-essential JavaScripts. Thus, the web page size is reduced by 20% in some cases. And the text doesn't shift after loading external fonts.

Also, converted many native images to WEBP format using the "-rw" method.

Now, Native lazy loading for the main post images is active. Used loading="lazy" method in <img> tags. And removed the post thumbnails in the Popular Posts widget.

To avoid layout shifts due to the sudden appearance of the Google Translate tool, defined the element height. For the current setup, it is 50px.

Hence, user experience shall gain a speed boost. And any other layout shifts must be unnoticeable.

Date 06-08-2021 Notice No. 2021/08/06-1 |

Revised { font-size: x-small; } CSS of Picture Captions to 'small' for better legibility. Removed unnecessary List Symbols using { list-disc-type: none; } for unordered lists.

Re-aligned the Footer widgets to 'center' to create harmony between both sides, when viewed from a desktop.

Added a thick border to clearly distinguish Post Page Areas from the website background. Also, increased the width of Post Page elements on the Home Page. Thus, the longer titles, as well as multiple labels, can be accommodated.

The remaining non-functional URLs or 'new tab' links will be rationalised soon. Also, my post with the title - 'Separate Your Satisfaction from the Immediate External Events' - has the <details> tag-based table of contents, with enumeration.

Date 05-08-2021 Notice No. 2021/08/05-1 |

Restricted the 'Open in New Tab' attributes to the third-party or outbound links. So, the local links won't open in new tabs. Removed the irrelevant or expired Affiliate Links.

Now, you have an expandable menu button present across the site. A ready-to-write contact form is added. And each heading is more recognisable now.

Better methods for sharing the content are available. Added Labels, Archives and Pages widgets in the dominant locations for easier navigation.

Day 03-04-2021 Notice No. 2021/04/03-1 |

The webpage size was above 2.5 MBs due to JavaScript. So, I have replaced the four JavaScripts with images or inline CSS. This resulted in a less heavy webpage. One such page came down to 1.25 MBs. And the other page became of some hundred KBs.

Also, Post Snippets are back. And some Theme discontinuities among the fonts are no more.

Note that, the line height is increased. And this should improve the ease of reading. But the downside is the reduced Information Density. So, I have found that you need to scroll a bit more.

Day 02-10-2020, Notice No. 2020/10/02-1

Theme is switched to Contempo again due to the new mobile-friendly indexing priority. A related post will be made soon, explaining this action further. We will see some info about Google Webmaster Tool and PageSpeed Insights in the next post.

Day 19-07-2020, Notice No. 2020/09/19-1

Added a more navigation-friendly Footers to all the blog posts; including a combination of formats. Back-linking was improved. More social media platforms were included on the Social Media Page. Image Captions were added wherever appropriate.

Some slight design and titling aspects were modified.

Feed Reader (Atom Format) Subscription links were added in the Side-Bar Top portion. Sitemap was submitted to, and updated at Search Console. The content was improved, enhanced or slightly changed in some posts. Navigation page was updated.

Theme aspects such as the Colours and the Fonts were changed a bit here and there.

Day 30-07-2020, Notice No. 2020/07/30-1

"After many days, if not many weeks, and after the focused and tireless efforts, anxieties, failures, mistakes, self-doubts, overthinking, online FAQ marathons, and a lot of re-re-re-editing; SummaryMaster51v has grown into something more versatile than what I had originally imagined!

I love what I did. While the probability of financial 'success' in this highly over-informed and always-connected age is disputable, I am feeling this awesome feeling.

I don't know what this is, but let me assure you, when you have gone through all of the 9 stages of grief almost every morning, every noon, every eve, and even under the moon...

Again and again, worrying about if the pages will load fast enough, if the image is not loaded, if the website user experience is filled with confusion about how to navigate...

Getting through all of that is so satisfying in its own ways.

Still, the blog SummaryMaster51v and the brand AKP51V are far from anything 'Perfect' or 'Excellent', and there are some other things I am working on as well ( yes, still having more ideas right in here), and I just don't want to let these ideas simply disappear whatever may be the 'financial / sustainable business model' impossibilities.

Earlier, I was 'Busy' with the life; but now, I have no excuses for not doing the experiments with the ideas which have been neglected all this time.

Now, I will be taking a little break. Relaxing and Recharging Yourself are really important for the proper functioning of our Human Body Systems and Human Brain Systems; and if we neglect such a self-care, we are bound to suffer ourselves and irritate the others with whom we interact."
