Your Worth - Is It Awards, Fame, Money, or Status? - Akp51v SMD
You have value as an individual. But you cannot fix this value using a few factors alone. How should you decide what defines your value? Well, you could depend on the "traditional" indicators of your worth. Still, is it alright to do that?
No, I am not saying that your academic, professional or financial achievements are unimportant. Yet, what might be a good indicator to you could be insignificant in the eyes of others.
Yes, we live in a society and relying on third-party opinions is not the best way of living your life. And I agree with this idea. But this world is not ideal. Thus, reality has its own plans for you. To survive and thrive, you must learn how to present your value.
Why should you bother? Because you want to sell your skills, services and products.
Keeping those goals aside, every person can think in a negative way about his good self. And you can call this "a human risk" in emotional intelligence. After all, being a human includes the self-doubt and identity-crisis phase.
Even now, you might wish to depend on your college degree, bank balance or popularity. Besides, you have your physiological beauty to boast about. Then, you can be proud of your intellect.
Still, you have an uncertain and limited life. So, how long can you focus on getting others' approval?
Even if you get a lot of attention, you can feel lonely. And you cannot eat the banknotes. Also, you can accomplish many academic goals despite lacking employability. Or, you could own a business without the knowledge of its underlying concepts from Economics, Psychology or Legislation.
Long story short: If you have something, you are probably lacking something else.
This is why life struggles are inevitable. In fact, if you learn the basic concepts in Buddhism or any other religion, even the Gods and Goddesses had to face difficulties. Note that I am interested in the Morals and Life Wisdom of all cultures. It is just a personal perspective of mine.
We will definitely keep forgetting this again and again. Being worried about not giving your 100% or lagging behind the others is completely normal. Judging your own productivity mistakes is not a bad thing itself.
But it is absolutely true that how productivity is measured can be the main source of any anxiety or self-loathing.
There is no dispute about the importance of how living with a mistaken Self-Perception can be harmful to you, me, our community as well as the company where we work. And amid the ever-increasing stress surrounding the employment policies, we cannot simply give up too early just due to the worldly noise. Slowly, but with a healthy amount of realistically no-nonsense optimism, we would discover what suits us the best, and if our initial expectations would be really worth the efforts. Till then, let's continue to spread the good vibes, read and experiment with poetry or comedy, and be prepared for the upcoming inevitable changes. On SummaryMaster51v, the author would like to share similar ideas regularly. Obviously, the quality will vary from post to post; still, I wonder how far we can go.
